Cool concept! Centipede meets RPG! A few ideas, I'd throw instructions into the game itself, rather than just in author comments. Also, you can hold down primary, or secondary, and still move and shoot, but if you hold both down, you cannot move at the same time. I'd also recommend, since you can use WASD/Arrows, you add an alternate set of fire keys, besides J/K/L, like Z/X/C for people using arrow keys. This game has potential!

JustASHadowNFG responds:

Thanks for the feedback! This is the first game that I've made outside of tutorials. I'll add the alternative keys right away.
Also, can you give more details about that problem? "if you hold both down, you cannot move at the same time." I can hold down J, K and L and still move.

The comic value is what makes this game. Towards the end of the round, the ball just flies by you on the screen, and the arrow denoting your kicking direction disappears. Is this intentional?

roda40 responds:

yes, you can still click and shoot as it passes by you.

Thia is pretty good! It's DDR Flappy Bird!

Interesting idea. I think a good idea would be to include the controls/instructions in the game, and it would be cool to see an almost Pong-like multiplayer game, with the 2 players cooperating, rather than competing.

wholetonegames responds:

Thanks!

I will probably expand this game at a later date and I will try to incorporate multi-player into it.

Interesting idea, but it loads with no background/map, so I have literally no idea where the bugs are going to run, or where I can place towers. I also have no gauge as to how much money I have, or how much a tower costs. This game in its current for is a little too unplayable, but keep touching it up! I think the biggest thing to fix first is to get something other than a black background in there. Build the other features after.

varsic responds:

I've heard of this problem before, there shouldn't be a black background.
What browser are you playing on?
Which OS?
Anything else that could help would be appreciated :D

Neat Idea, but I found a few things that could be touched up. First, in the menu, you give instructions. One of which are the alternate keys for "jump". When it says "press jump to continue," the only key that works is the space bar, so maybe replace "jump to continue" with "space to continue". I also ran over to the left immediately starting the game, and tried to jump, and fell into that hole. With the sea to it's left. Maybe make a more visible way to show what pits look like, rather than just trial and error. I got whomped by a couple of windmills and took damage, losing hearts, but I'd also randomly get the red borders of the screen as though I was getting hurt, even with nothing going on. Also, what's the deal with those tiny slug pixelly things that run off into pits with 3 red pixels by their heads? Do they hurt you? I can't shoot them.

duckbridge responds:

Thanks for your feedback! Yes the point that you made about the menu is spot on! And we've heard that the pits aren't very visible so we'll work on that! Yes the red border indicate that an 'unlucky' event happened, but we need to explain this (we're also planning to!)

Haha, the small things are 'snakes' you cannot really hit them, only with 'Golden' bullets (which you get with Luck). But! Your duck friend can kill them for you (if you're lucky). And the snakes only attack you if you're unlucky :)

Interesting. Looks like you have the game worked out for the most part, but just a heads up. The game doesn't center on the screen. It loads top left, leaving a margin on the right and bottom. Also, the loading bar, which looks like the timer bar, when you first load, is off center to the right. I'd also like to see a little more substance than just a high score game! This looks good and it works well, so I think you could do a lot with it! And I'm not even a MLP fan.

Nice little killem game, but a few points of feedback: Throw instructions into the game itself. It kinda made sense you click them, after you click the screen and there isnt any kind of fixed location you are shooting from. I also didn't know that if they escape to *any* side of the screen you lose lives. I was focused on having them not reach the bottom of the screen. Throw some sound FX in for when you click them too. There are plenty of others, and a gunshot, or something would be nice. Also, have the game PAUSE when it gets to the score screen. During the time I have been writing this, martyrs have gotten me the 250 medal. It starts up again, with 0 lives left, and you don't die again, you just keep getting score. Someone could play once, run to the store, and come back with the score screen up and have all the medals for this game. Think about maybe adding some more features than just clicking them. It would be cool to see weapon upgrades, like an AoE on clicks etc. This game has some potential

bioludus responds:

Huge thanks for your feedback! We are already fixed the bug with a score, and we are thinking now how to implement the instructions screen into the game, so thank you again for your input!

Neat little game, which kinda reminds me of those basketball arcade games in handball form. I'd recommend throwing in some more movement animations though. That goalie has about 3, and looks like he is in a permanent pirouette! Touch up this game, and you'll be on your way to more stars

Good idea, however, add clearer instructions that you need to park in the proper direction. It took me a second to figure it out. I kept trying to get perfectly in the first parking spot until I noticed the tiny little letters spelling out "FRONT". Also, in the controls, I noticed a typo. It is "brake", not "break".
